Responsibilities
- Cook up and oversee schedules for nursing and support teams
- Ensure sufficient staffing levels in line with state regulations and facility needs
- Pass along shift changes, open shifts, and schedule updates to staff promptly
- Keep track of attendance, time-off requests, and shift swaps
- Collaborate with HR and nursing leadership to tackle staffing issues
- Help with recruitment and orientation of new staff
- Handle last-minute schedule modifications due to emergencies or cancellations
Qualifications
- Experience in scheduling, particularly in healthcare or skilled nursing
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle stress and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency with scheduling software (Apploi, OnShift, etc.)
- Knowledge of state staffing regulations for skilled nursing facilities
- Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
