About the Role
Joining Collins Aerospace offers the opportunity to work independently while playing a key part in supporting engineering teams. As a Staff Tech, Engineering Project Assistant, you will plan and coordinate activities, manage schedules, and provide essential support in documentation, processes, and general engineering operations. You’ll work with multiple engineers, using a broad range of administrative, technical, and computer skills to keep projects moving smoothly. This position also serves as a key interface with customers for specific program or system activities.
Responsibilities
- Edit and format software/hardware documentation, interfacing with technicians, engineers, and engineering managers.
- Verify change requests are in the proper state and implement them into documentation.
- Perform data conversion using various application media for software development or project file maintenance.
- Act as the primary focal point for coordinating, tracking, and reporting status for inquiries and problem resolution during pre-release, release, and revision of development/product-related documentation.
- Provide tools expertise and support to Engineering, including MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management, and tracking tools.
- Generate reports and operate within a Scaled Agile Framework environment to enable team efficiency.
- Support the Third-Party Intellectual Property process by coordinating necessary documentation.
- Prepare presentations and assist in developing engineering web pages.
- Collect metrics and prepare presentation materials for analysis.
- Track action items and tasks in change management tools, driving closure to action items.
- Assist with the Bid & Proposal process and follow up with bidding engineers to meet deadlines.
- Network with key contacts outside your area of expertise and serve as a liaison between engineering teams, management, and customers.
- Coordinate several projects and complex engineering support activities while balancing priorities and schedules.
- Consistently assist with training and mentoring peers, and lead policy/procedure deployment.
- Complete Global Trade Classification training (JCL2).
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience communicating with a wide variety of technical and management personnel.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $53,100 - $100,900 USD. The range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
