About the role
Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a hands-on Staff Solution Architect to lead the design, integration, and management of strategic enterprise architectures. This key role directly orchestrates the architecture and technical integration of security, networking, and IT environments for our largest B2B and B2C clients—across cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), on-premises, and hybrid models and a globally distributed workforce.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and integration of enterprise security, networking, cloud, and IT systems across Apex’s product suite and client environments.
- Get hands-on with technical design—producing architecture diagrams, integration blueprints, and implementation plans for SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, shared services, and on-premise solutions.
- Collaborate directly with major enterprise clients to gather requirements, integrate / review contractual obligations, and create system designs and integration roadmaps that delight clients.
- Oversee internal workstreams across engineering, IT, security, operations, product, sales, and client teams for successful solution delivery driving communication across, up, and out.
- Act as an internal thought leader—driving architecture standards, driving technical innovation, and championing secure, scalable enterprise solutions.
- Leverage Google Cloud, AWS, Office 365, and other technology platforms to prototype solutions for robust, future-proof architectures.
- Perform risk assessments, design reviews, and security analysis of proposed architectures.
- Document solutions clearly in Confluence, ensure project tracking via JIRA, and maintain technical excellence through peer reviews and ongoing education.
- Mentor, coach, and elevate team members and cross-functional partners in modern architecture and integration best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Financial technology experience a must.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise solution architecture, including cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), security, networking, and technical integration across large B2B/B2C clients.
- Deep expertise in designing solutions on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and managing hybrid/on-premise architectures.
- Proven track record of architecting secure, scalable, and reliable solutions in regulated environments.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Architect, CISSP, TOGAF, or similar are desirable.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise architecture frameworks, security requirements analysis, and system design.
- Analytical and strategic thinker, skilled in solving complex technical and business problems.
- Experience with enterprise project management and documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
- Expert in integrating SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, as well as designing IT solutions leveraging Office 365, cloud, and on-prem tech.
- Outstanding collaboration, communication, and documentation skills—capable of aligning teams and stakeholders.
- Superior leadership and mentorship skills, drive change and inspire technical excellence.
- Proficiency with Applied AI to enable automation and streamline solution design and delivery processes.
Work Environment
This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week.
