Staff Systems Architect
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM field
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance
- This position is located at a facility that requires special access
- Experience with MBSE, SysML, or Cameo
- Experience designing system-to-system interfaces using REST, Kafka, and databases
- Experience with large-scale, complex, SW-based systems
- Experience briefing design solutions to stakeholders at various levels of technical capability

Lockheed Martin has been embedded with the USSTRATCOM Nuclear Mission for 30+ years and has a track record of bringing innovative mission software solutions to this domain. Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking engineers to support our USSTRATCOM software teams which create Planning and Command and Control (C2) capabilities as part of the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES) in a DevSecOps environment.
In this role, you will help our team create modern Web-based, Java mission systems for the Nuclear community. The successful candidate will have experience with software systems built to exacting standards that are delivered on a DevSecOps cadence using Agile Scrum.
WHO YOU ARE
Our team needs a full-time Systems Architect. In this role, you will work with Govt engineers to understand the systems environment for new mission capabilities and design and document architectures that provide context for developers. Your designs will need to prioritize cybersecurity, performance, and reliability to ensure software components can achieve mission goals.
