About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient-centered nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider, supporting patients across all ages using the nursing process.
Responsibilities
- Deliver holistic care by blending compassion, caring, and appropriate technology.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality nursing services.
- Guide ancillary staff and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- Current Georgia LPN or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BLS certification required.
- New graduates are eligible; previous hospital or emergency department experience is preferred.
- Emergency Department nurses should obtain ALS/ACLS and PALS certifications within specified timeframes.
Additional Information
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area is preferred.
- Certification completion within 6 months for those new to the specialty or the emergency department.
