Job Description And Duties
Under general direction of the Senior Psychiatrist (Sup), the Psychiatrist in Mental Health Services is a member of an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team providing general population outpatient services to inmates. The Team includes other psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric social workers assigned to a Service Area. In general, the staff psychiatrist in case management performs psychiatric evaluations, participates in treatment planning and case reviews, prescribes medications, and provides crisis intervention and psychotherapy.

Pay
The monthly part-time salary range for this position is $12,103.60 to $12,454.40. Recruitment and Retention Bonus may be available for clinicians newly hired with California Correctional Health Care Services. A pay differential equivalent to 15% of monthly base pay may be available for employees providing direct patient care. A $10,000 one-time recruitment and retention stipend and a monthly recruitment and retention differential totaling $5,000 may be available for eligible candidates.
Benefits
A $5,000 referral bonus may be available for CDCR/CCHCS employees who refer a candidate who is selected for hire and remains employed with CCHCS for 90 days.
