About the role

The Staff Product Manager, Hiring Fraud Solutions leads the development of Checkr's Identity Risk & Hiring Fraud Solutions. The role involves setting a new standard for trust in hiring by creating a seamless and frictionless system to validate identity. Key responsibilities include conducting market analysis, driving cross-functional collaboration, building a multi-release feature roadmap, championing the customer, measuring product success, and representing Checkr as a product expert.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for all Identity Risk & Hiring Fraud Solutions, including dashboard products, APIs, and pre-built partner integrations.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify high-impact opportunities for your products, including competitive research, engagement with industry analysts, and working directly with strategic customers.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Checkr, partnering with Product Marketing to shape effective go-to-market strategies, working with other product teams to enable seamless product integrations, and aligning with Business Development to embed solutions within partner applications.
  • Build and prioritize a multi-release feature roadmap.
  • Champion the customer by being the voice of strategic customers and building meaningful, personal relationships with them.
  • Measure product success and impact, and identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Represent Checkr as a product expert in customer meetings, industry events, and through community platforms and social media.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of product management experience building risk, fraud prevention, and identity verification products, including identity proofing, document verification, biometrics, and hiring-fraud signals
  • Strong expertise in fraud detection frameworks and modeling, including threat modeling, risk scoring, anomaly detection, identity spoofing detection, and data-driven decision-making
  • Deep understanding of recruiting ecosystems, including ATS systems, recruiting workflows, and hiring compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to build scalable, extensible platforms that address evolving fraud threats rather than one-off solutions
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influence, partnering with engineering, operations, legal, and sales without direct authority
  • An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes

Pay

  • On-target Earnings OR Base Salary range (San Francisco, CA): $207,000 - $244,000 USD
  • On-target Earnings OR Base Salary range (Denver, CO): $176,000 - $207,000 USD

Schedule

  • Flexible PTO policy
  • In-office work environment 3+ days a week
