On-siteMarketing$143k–$286k/yrFull-time

Senior individual contributor product role that drives strategy and execution for a complex product or a small set of tightly related products. First IC level with formal influence beyond a single product, requiring strong stakeholder leadership without people management responsibility. Bridges deep customer/technical understanding with mature product leadership, owning end-to-end outcomes from discovery through value realization. Acts as a recognized authority within the product area, sets product direction, and elevates the discipline by mentoring less experienced PMs.

About the role

This role will be responsible for products for pricing spark driver offers, driver matching algorithms, and driver incentives used to position and ensure driver supply in Walmart’s international markets. Objectives include ensuring a good driver experience, on-time delivery, and optimizing cost per order. An ideal candidate will be analytically strong and scientifically minded, as well as a good all-around product manager. Candidates should be familiar with machine learning and, ideally, with experimentation techniques. However, candidates without experimentation experience but who have a good grounding in statistical basics and the scientific method are also encouraged.

This role is focused on international markets, including Canada and LATAM, where you will look to leverage our global platform wherever possible, optimizing it for local markets as well as solving for regulatory and market needs. Occasional international travel may be required. The position will be located in our Sunnyvale offices.

Responsibilities

  • Build deep, structured understanding of customer and business needs across a complex product using design thinking, journey mapping, and operational/financial data analysis.
  • Establish durable mechanisms for gathering and synthesizing customer feedback; transform insights into prioritized, measurable problem statements with clear success metrics.
  • Design barrier-free processes addressing customer pain points; set the standard for discovery rigor within the product area and coach PMs on customer-centric framing.
  • Anticipate unmet needs and reframe roadmap priorities based on forward-looking customer, market, and competitive insight.
  • Define and own multi-quarter vision and strategy for a complex product or set of related products, leveraging domain expertise, competitive analysis, and market trend assessment.
  • Build strategies using Whole Product concepts and hypothesis-driven thinking; independently articulate problem statements, KPIs, and trade-offs that guide product direction.
  • Drive go-to-market strategy, adoption levers, and stakeholder alignment, ensuring product direction connects to broader business outcomes.
  • Evaluate build/buy/partner decisions and platform reuse opportunities to accelerate time-to-value and reduce duplicate investment.
  • Own roadmaps for a complex product, from discovery to post-launch value realization, coordinating with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Business partners.
  • Manage risk, dependency, and backlog priority trade-offs; define clear acceptance criteria and rollout/scaling plans using MVP approaches.
  • Establish performance measures, telemetry plans, and operating rhythms; navigate organizational and market constraints to deliver outcomes.
  • Mentor PMs on roadmap development, scope/quality/speed trade-offs, and rigorous launch readiness.
  • Conduct advanced product and feature analytics by structuring data collection, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting prioritization based on insight.
  • Use experimentation (A/B testing, rapid prototyping) to validate assumptions, de-risk investments, and inform product direction.
  • Identify AI-powered feature opportunities; assess feasibility, risk, and architectural implications in partnership with Engineering and Data teams.
  • Translate data into compelling narratives that influence prioritization and stakeholder alignment across senior partners.
  • Demonstrate strong technology orientation across system architecture, services, data pipelines, and cloud capabilities for the product area.
  • Drive informed discussions with Engineering on feasibility, technical debt, and architectural choices; influence technical direction without direct authority.
  • Identify innovation opportunities and recommend new processes, automation, and ways of working within the product area.
  • Model inclusive collaboration, accountable communication, and Walmart leadership expectations; build trust across functions and levels.
  • Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.
