About the role

Inkitt is building the Disney of the 21st century, leveraging AI and predictive algorithms to discover unknown stories and turn them into blockbuster hits. The company produces a new $1 M ebook every 7 days, sells directly to consumers through the Inkitt Galatea app, and translates bestsellers onto the screen via Inkitt CandyJar, the #1 US‑based micro‑drama platform with billions of episodes streamed. Backed by top VCs such as Khosla, Kleiner Perkins, and NEA Ventures, Inkitt recently launched Ironblood, an AI‑native streaming platform for action and adventure.

How We Work

This senior product role operates without a pre‑defined roadmap. The founder and CEO sets company priorities, while you own the ideas. Each day you research competitors, the industry, and users to generate new feature ideas, maintaining a live “Top 3” list of highest‑impact ideas. Ideas are pitched on a single slide with an impact calculation; anything requiring more than a week of engineering must be backed by a rigorous business case demonstrating ROI. Approved ideas are executed end‑to‑end, launched, A/B‑ramped, and reviewed four weeks later against the original impact forecast. Performance is measured by how often you beat your own Top 3 and the realized impact of what you ship.

What You’ll Do

  • Own a product line end‑to‑end, including its revenue.
  • Set and defend the idea agenda for your area with data‑driven business cases.
  • Drive work through spec, design, engineering, QA, and launch at a rapid cadence.
  • Design and run experiments, ramp them based on judgment, and report results honestly, including failures.
  • Raise the standard of product thinking; your pitches, specs, and post‑mortems become reference material for the team.
  • Consistently hit the impact you predicted before building.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of professional experience with deep, demonstrable ownership of consumer products where users pay directly and frequently.
  • Ability to be useful in week two and to contribute before full onboarding.
  • Experience building and owning paywalls, pricing, virtual currency, offers, retention loops, and onboarding at real scale.
  • Exceptional analytical ability, advanced SQL skills, and the habit of building and reviewing models.
  • A track record of quantifiable revenue impact with clear methodology.
  • Comfort operating as a hands‑on individual contributor (no direct reports).
  • Based in San Francisco and able to work onsite five days a week.
  • Nice to have: experience with free‑to‑play games, serialized fiction, short‑form video/audio, virtual currency design, or a founder/first‑employee stint.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Autonomous on execution and collaborative on direction.
  • Generates ideas proactively rather than waiting for them.
  • Brings solutions instead of problems.
  • Data‑driven and performs their own analysis.
  • Quick to act and takes direct feedback well.
  • Comfortable being measured against personal forecasts.
  • Happy to be moved to wherever the biggest problem is.
  • Eager to have fun building a generational AI × entertainment company.

What We’ll Offer

  • 401(k) plan designed to help you save for the future.
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Professional coaching for everyone.
  • Team‑building events, including an annual Tulum trip.
  • Unlimited access to the Galatea and CandyJar apps.
  • Unlimited budget for self‑development books.
  • Charity donation of your choice at your one‑year anniversary.
  • Free lunch in the office every day.
  • ClassPass membership for US‑based employees and gym access for Berlin employees.
  • Dog‑friendly offices in Berlin and San Francisco.

Schedule

Based in San Francisco. This role is five days a week onsite.
