Staff/Principal Engineer - ASIC Verification

About the role

This is a staff-level technical position within Micron’s ASIC Verification and Emulation group. The candidate will play a key role in architecting and developing advanced verification environments for complex SoC components, ensuring on-time, first-pass, best-in-class quality.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, debug, and improve innovative design verification environments, methodologies, and flows.
• Develop test benches, verification plans, test plans, and coverage definitions for complex IPs, subsystems, and SoCs.
• Collaborate with architecture, firmware, and design teams to debug and resolve critical issues.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with extensive industry experience.
• 6–12 years of deep verification exposure.
• Experience with RTL debugging, scoreboarding, and code coverage analysis.
• Proven expertise in writing and tracking detailed test plans at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with DDR, PCIe/NVMe, or NAND interfaces.
• Expert-level proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies.
• Familiarity with C.
• Exposure to generative AI tools (e.g., Claude-Code).
• Exposure to emulation.

Pay

US base salary range: $145,000 – $286,000 per year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity. Individual pay is determined by work location, knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
