What You'll Do
- Own the development of vehicle power electronics from clean sheet to flight. For example: solar power conversion, battery management systems, power distribution and load management, voltage regulators, etc.
- Develop and implement PCBA requirements, use-cases, and system integration.
- Schematic capture and PCBA layout for power and analog circuits in Altium Designer.
- Design analysis including power, size, mass, Monte Carlo tolerances, and reliability related.
- PCBA design verification testing, qualification testing, and system integration testing.
- Lead design reviews for inter-disciplinary audiences.
- Manufacturing and flight support as needed.
What's Prepared
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in power electronics design including schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing.
- Expertise in solar power, voltage regulation, load management, fault protection, power transmission, analog instrumentation, and digital circuits.
- Skilled at schematic capture and layout of complex PCBAs.
- Skilled at performing circuit analyses in SPICE and Excel.
- Proficiency with basic electronic lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, soldering iron, etc.
- Demonstrated success working in a dynamic environment.
