Anduril is looking for a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of cutting-edge avionics systems for UAVs. The role involves technical leadership, hands-on engineering, collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentorship, system testing, vendor coordination, and project management.

What you’ll do

• Technical Leadership: Lead and contribute to the design and development of electrical systems for avionics modules and UAVs.
• Hands-on Engineering: Actively participate in the design, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, PCB layouts, and other electronic systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, and mechanical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping to develop the team's capabilities.
• System Testing and Validation: Oversee system-level testing and validation to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
• Vendor Coordination: Interface with vendors to source and select appropriate components for designs, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Project Management: Support project timelines and ensure that technical milestones are met, reporting on progress to senior management.

Required qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on avionics, UAV systems, or similar industries.
• Leadership Skills: Experience leading technical projects or small teams in an engineering environment.
• Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB design, and avionics systems.
• Project Management: Ability to oversee the technical aspects of projects from concept to delivery, ensuring that deadlines and specifications are met.
• Eligibility: Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
