Staff Nurse - Resource/Float Pool

Role Overview

The Staff Nurse Resource Pool I provides specialized nursing care across multiple units based on patient needs, demonstrating expertise in biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. This role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating family-centered care for diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Delivering patient-centered care, ensuring safety, and performing quality improvement initiatives.
• Leading, mentoring, and precepting staff members, promoting collaboration and efficient operations.
• Participating in evidence-based practice, safety protocols, and system-based practices.
• Supporting provider teams and fostering a team approach to care and customer service.
• Utilizing informatics and technology, including electronic medical records.

Qualifications & Skills

• BSN required or obtainable within 5 years; RN license in Ohio; minimum one year of healthcare experience.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS, NRP, and PALS within one year of hire.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and EMR systems preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively within a team.
• Onsite role with flexible assignment to various units within the healthcare enterprise.
