Staff Nurse - Resource/Float Pool

About the role

The Staff Nurse Resource Pool I provides specialized nursing care across multiple units, utilizing knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient-centered care for individuals and groups, regardless of age or developmental status.

Responsibilities

• Performing clinical nursing duties with a focus on family-centered care
• Demonstrating leadership, mentorship, and professional responsibilities
• Ensuring quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practices
• Supporting healthcare providers, fostering collaboration, and promoting exceptional customer service
• Participating in system-based practices, informatics, and technology use
• Providing care across various units as needed based on patient needs

Qualifications

• BSN or in progress within 5 years, with current RN licensure in Ohio
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience
• Current Basic Life Support certification; ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications within one year

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively within teams

Requirements

• Onsite role with rotating shifts including weekends
• Ability to perform a variety of clinical and system-based duties to support quality patient care
• Mentoring and training staff members as needed
