Staff Nurse - Resource/Float Pool

About the Role

The Staff Nurse Resource Pool I provides specialized nursing care across multiple units, utilizing knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. This role involves clinical, leadership, and system-based duties, with flexibility to support various units based on patient needs. The position is onsite and focuses on delivering high-quality, family-centered nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered nursing care within the scope of practice.
• Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs for patients of all ages.
• Perform leadership, mentorship, and professional duties, including staff education and precepting new employees.
• Ensure quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practices.
• Support collaborative team efforts to promote efficient operations, high-quality care, and exceptional customer service.
• Utilize informatics and technology systems, with possible temporary assignments across different units.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or must be obtained within 5 years.
• Current Ohio RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required within one year.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience.

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (preferred).
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively within a team.
