About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care, demonstrating knowledge in biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
- Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages.
- Perform leadership and professional duties, and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
- Educate and mentor staff, support provider collaboration, and promote efficient, high-quality care with a team approach.
- Engage in evidence-based practice, systems-based practice, informatics, and technology duties.
- May be temporarily assigned to various areas based on patient needs.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively.
- Experience with healthcare teams, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records (preferred).
- Proficiency in leadership, guidance, and motivating teams.
Education & Licensing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or obtained within 5 years.
- Active RN license in Ohio with Multistate License required within 90 days if applicable.
- Current Basic Life Support certification; PALS and ACLS within 1 year.
Experience
- Minimum of one year preferred; no supervisory experience needed.
