About the role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care, demonstrating knowledge in biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
  • Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages.
  • Perform leadership and professional duties, and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
  • Educate and mentor staff, support provider collaboration, and promote efficient, high-quality care with a team approach.
  • Engage in evidence-based practice, systems-based practice, informatics, and technology duties.
  • May be temporarily assigned to various areas based on patient needs.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience with healthcare teams, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records (preferred).
  • Proficiency in leadership, guidance, and motivating teams.

Education & Licensing

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or obtained within 5 years.
  • Active RN license in Ohio with Multistate License required within 90 days if applicable.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification; PALS and ACLS within 1 year.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year preferred; no supervisory experience needed.
