About the Role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing principles.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
- Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients of all ages.
- Perform leadership and professional duties, and support quality improvement and safety initiatives.
- Mentor and educate staff, including precepting new employees.
- Collaborate with providers to ensure efficient, high-quality, team-based care and excellent customer service.
- Utilize informatics, technology, and evidence-based practices to enhance care.
- Participate in system-based practices and adapt to various clinical areas as needed.
- Additional duties as required.
Requirements
- BSN required or to be obtained within 5 years.
- Active RN license in Ohio and Basic Life Support certification; PALS and ACLS within 1 year.
- Minimum 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively, prioritize tasks under pressure, and provide leadership.
