About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and directing patient-centered care within their scope of practice.
- Delivering care that addresses physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all age groups.
- Performing leadership, mentorship, and professional duties, including staff education and precepting new employees.
- Supporting collaborative efforts with provider staff to ensure efficient operations, safety, and quality care, especially for pediatric patients.
- Engaging in quality improvement, safety initiatives, evidence-based practices, and systems-based activities.
- Utilizing informatics and technology systems, with flexibility for temporary assignments across departments based on patient needs.
- Performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or obtaining it within five years.
- Current RN licensure in Ohio and Basic Life Support certification.
- Minimum one year of healthcare experience (preferred).
Skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Leadership ability, teamwork, and experience working with various organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with electronic medical records (preferred).
Schedule
- Part‑time onsite role involving night shifts (7 pm – 7:30 am).
- Commitment of 24 hours per week.
