About the role
The Staff Nurse provides individualized and group nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. They assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient care with a family-centered approach within their scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Performing leadership and professional duties
- Delivering patient-centered care
- Ensuring quality improvement and safety
- Applying evidence-based practices
- Utilizing informatics and technology
- Communicating, collaborating, and working within teams
- Participating in system-based practices
- Being adaptable to temporary assignments across different areas based on patient needs
- Performing other duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) or obtaining it within 5 years
- Licensed to practice nursing in Ohio
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred
Skills
- Knowledge to address the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients of all ages
- Experience in nursing relevant to the patient population served
- Strong task prioritization and management skills
- Ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with EMR software preferred
