Staff Nurse - Medical

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
• Address physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
• Demonstrate leadership, perform professional duties, and support quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Educate and mentor staff, including precepting new employees.
• Apply evidence-based practice and system-based duties, including informatics and technology.
• Collaborate with provider staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care and excellent customer service.
• Flexibly support various hospital areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or within 5 years of hire.
• Current Ohio RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Experience with healthcare systems, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records (preferred).
• Minimum one year of relevant healthcare experience (preferred).
