Staff Nurse - Hematology

About the Role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences, delivering family-centered care to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with a family-centered approach.
• Ensure the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients.
• Demonstrate leadership and professionalism in clinical practice.
• Deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with providers.
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and staff education.
• Utilize evidence-based practices, informatics, and technology.
• Adapt to temporary assignments across the organization as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or willingness to obtain within 5 years.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid Ohio RN license; Multistate License required within 90 days if applicable.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (preferably EPIC).
• Experience in pediatric ambulatory care preferred.
