Staff Nurse - Float Pool Critical Care -Full time nights

About the role

This role supports the NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center Critical Care inpatient units including the Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuroscience ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Step-Down Units and more. Nurses in this dynamic role support the state-of-the-art Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns by recovering post-Cesarean Section and post-procedural obstetrical patients in the PACU and by playing a critical role in maternal emergency response. You’ll have the freedom to explore new specialties and experiences in your nursing career and gain exposure to a broad range of challenges on our highly specialized units.

Responsibilities

• Work autonomously in high-pressure situations across multiple critical care units
• Provide care for post-Cesarean section patients and respond to obstetrical emergencies
• Support various ICU and step-down units including Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuroscience ICU, and Cardiothoracic ICU

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current NYS RN licensure
• BCLS and ACLS certification

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Critical Care RN
• SDU experience and Cardiac Surgical experience (preferred)
• Experience with post-Cesarean section patients and obstetrical emergencies (preferred)

Pay

Salary Range: $133,595 - $153,220/Annual

Please note that this role requires on-site presence, and all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
