Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool Critical Care Full Time Nights

About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for their Critical Care Float Pool at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognizing subtle clinical changes, using judgment to intervene early and advocate for patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care
• Taking an active role in a highly collaborative team environment where shared accountability and teamwork directly impact outcomes

Requirements

• Hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Have a current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Have 2 years of ED and/or ICU nursing experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred
• Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC
• Work 7p-7:30a and float across the ER, Observation, and Critical Care units

Pay

The pay range for this position is $47.62 - $63.73 per hour.

Schedule

This role works 7p-7:30a and floats across the ER, Observation, and Critical Care units.
