About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care within the scope of practice; support family-centered care for individuals or groups of patients.
- Deliver care addressing patients' physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
- Perform leadership, mentorship, and precepting duties; contribute to quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with provider staff, promote team-based approach, and support systems-based practice and informatics duties.
- Participate in staff education and development, and undertake other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- BSN required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire; current RN licensure in Ohio.
- Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred; BLS certification required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) preferred.
