About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
- Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
- Perform leadership and professional duties, and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
- Educate and mentor staff, support collaboration with providers, and promote excellent customer service.
- Engage in evidence-based practice, systems-based practices, informatics, and technology use.
- Contribute to staff development and adapt to temporary assignments across various hospital areas.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Requirements
- BSN required or to be obtained within 5 years.
- Current RN licensure in Ohio and Basic Life Support certification required.
- Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively.
- Experience with healthcare systems, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records (preferred).
Schedule
Full-time, night shift (7pm-7:30am), onsite, with responsibilities that may extend across hospital units to meet patient needs.
