About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within the scope of practice.
- Demonstrate knowledge to address patients' physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
- Perform leadership, quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practice duties.
- Support staff development through education, precepting, and mentoring.
- Collaborate with providers to ensure efficient operations, quality care, and excellent customer service, especially for pediatric patients.
- Engage in systems-based practice, informatics, and technology tasks.
- May be temporarily assigned across facilities based on patient needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or within five years of hire.
- Current Ohio RN license.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with healthcare environments and Microsoft Office.
- Preferred experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC).
Schedule
Onsite role with a 72-hour bi-weekly schedule, requiring leadership, teamwork, and commitment to quality patient care.
