About the Role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. This role delivers holistic, family-centered nursing for individuals or groups, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct family-centered nursing care within scope of practice.
- Demonstrate leadership in patient-centered care, quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practice.
- Support staff education, precept new employees, and serve as a mentor.
- Promote collaboration with provider teams to ensure efficient, high-quality pediatric care and exceptional customer service.
- Engage in systems-based practice, informatics, and technology duties, with potential temporary assignments across the organization.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion within 5 years of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Experience working with various organizational levels and in healthcare settings preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) preferred.
