About the role
This role involves providing nursing care and staff guidance in a pediatric clinical setting under physician supervision.
Responsibilities
- Support provider staff to ensure efficient operation, quality care, and excellent customer service for pediatric patients
- Precept and mentor new employees and clinical staff
- Conduct patient assessments as needed
- Contribute to staff education on clinical topics
- Assess clinical competency and participate in staff evaluations
- Advocate for patients and families, promoting health maintenance and a positive public image
- Provide care addressing physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs across age groups
- Facilitate consultations, discharge planning, and collaborate in care coordination
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; degree must be obtained within 5 years if not already held
- Active RN license in Ohio, with Multistate License required within 90 days for certain services
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
- At least 2 years of relevant pediatric care experience preferred
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
