About the role

Iowa River Landing Clinic is seeking a patient-centered Staff Nurse to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will specialize in the care of everyone in the family, in every generation, developing relationships and getting to know patients' health care histories to deliver personalized, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Applies nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patients' health needs.
  • Affirms patient health care preferences and expectations.
  • Scribes in patient care rooms for providers and prepares charts, closing care gaps.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate the continuum of care.
  • Develops and implements patient care plans based on patient conditions, age, and other factors.
  • Documents and reports interventions and patient/family responses.
  • Collaborates with patients and families to integrate their contributions into the care plan.
  • Plans and implements transfer/discharge planning throughout the patient's episode of care.
  • Implements nursing interventions according to department, division, and unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Follows universal precautions and is responsible for providing safe care environments.

Requirements

  • An Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or Master’s degree in Nursing (MNHP or MSN).
  • A current license to practice nursing in Iowa by the date of hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in an ambulatory clinic setting, preferably with EPIC and previous triage experience.

Qualifications

  • Desirable qualifications include experience working with EPIC and previous triage experience.

Location and Details

The position is located at Iowa River Landing and is a full-time, 32-40 hours per week schedule, Monday through Friday, between 0730-2000, with shifts of 8 or 10 hours. No evening or Saturday shifts are available at this time. For more information, visit here.

Education and Certification Requirements

Experience Requirements
