Staff Nurse - IRL Internal Medicine (80 - 100%)

About the role

The Iowa River Landing Clinic is seeking a 80% - 100% Staff Nurse for their Internal Medicine Clinic. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing patients' nursing care needs, developing care plans, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring patient care standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses.
• Develop patient care plans based on observations and assessments and recommend interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Collaborate and integrate information from patients and families into multidisciplinary patient care plans and evaluate responses.
• Evaluate the quality of nursing care provided by other staff members.
• Provide care for patients while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality and serving as a patient advocate.

Requirements

• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa by date of hire.
• An Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or Master’s degree in Nursing (MNHP or MSN).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in an ambulatory clinic setting.
• Experience working with EPIC.
• Previous triage experience is desirable.
