Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out field investigations: Aquatic Resources Delineation and Wetland Determination, Wildlife and Habitat Surveys, and Environmental Assessments.
  • Assist in the preparation of various Natural Resources related reports, including Biological Resource Evaluations, Aquatic Resources Delineation Reports, Critical Issues Analyses, NEPA documents, and Environmental Resource Inventories.
  • Document and investigate natural resources during site visits.
  • Ensure all assessments are completed within project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to support project objectives.
  • Perform other project duties, as assigned.
  • Maintain a utilization target of 90%.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
  • Have 0-2 years of experience in a Natural Resources position.
  • Be familiar with basic environmental regulations.
  • Show excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be proficient in report writing and documentation.
  • Display effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel for site assessments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience conducting aquatic resources delineations.
  • Experience conducting habitat and wildlife surveys.
  • Knowledge of Texas vegetation and wildlife.
