Staff Ecologist I

We are seeking a Staff Ecologist I to join our dynamic team in Fresno, California. Our ideal candidate will be part of a supportive environment that values continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys and collect ecological data, including flora and fauna inventories, wetland delineations, soil and water sampling, habitat assessments, and environmental compliance monitoring
• Prepare daily survey and monitoring reports and assist senior staff with environmental reports and technical documentation
• Cook with project teams to ensure field activities are completed safely and on schedule
• Maintain field equipment and assist with database entry and management of ecological data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field
• 0–2 years of relevant work, internship, or academic field experience
• Knowledge of local and federal environmental regulations is a plus
• Familiarity with GIS tools and ecological data platforms
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
