About the role
You keep our community at its best by developing and maintaining nursing staff competencies. You'll report to the director of nursing and assess, plan and implement programs to meet the learning needs of staff, then evaluate outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and implement general orientation for all new employees
- Plan, coordinate, schedule, and present in-service for all departments (mandatory, voluntary, and identified needs)
- Cover, implement, and maintain records of in-service for all staff
- Cook up, implement, and maintain records of in-service for all staff
- Coordinate employee health programs and maintain employee records
- Shares "on-call" status with other facility nursing managers
- Train employees as assigned
Requirements
- RN License Required
- Current Nursing license (LPN or RN) in good standing
- Knowledge of MDS, RAP and trigger system, care plan development, and chart auditing of the nursing process
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a supervisor in healthcare
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, including laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities

Skills
- Maintains confidentiality of resident information
- Uses and discloses only a minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
