Position Overview

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Director of Nursing Services and Administrator.
  • Lead, evaluate, and supervise resident care; initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement annual educational schedules, approved by the Administrator and DNS.
  • Disseminate monthly educational program calendars promptly.
  • Maintain records of classes, attendance, and performance.
  • Ensure ongoing education for all staff and update education profiles.
  • Submit education programs to DPH as required.
  • Conduct orientation for new hires; collaborate on educational needs.
  • Uphold customer service standards.
  • Handle additional duties such as Quality Assurance.

Requirements

  • Education: Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts.
  • Experience: At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in English (written/spoken); decision-making and leadership skills; strong interpersonal abilities; knowledgeable in nursing practices and regulations; ability to plan, develop, and interpret programs and policies; continuously engage in education and training.

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of movement and handling stress.
  • Effective interaction with all stakeholders.
