About the role
The Staff Development Coordinator-RN is a clinically competent nurse responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the staff development program.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and educate staff on all Federal, State and community education requirements.
- Establish and implement a comprehensive orientation program for community personnel.
- Plan, implement and evaluate an ongoing education program for nurses, CNA-NARs and other community personnel based on educational needs as identified in performance reviews, education needs survey, solicits input from managers concerning training needs, and new topics in healthcare.
- Develop, maintain and secure records of education for all associates.
- Drive the process of developing, implementing and evaluating community goals, objectives, standards of practice and care, and community policies and procedures.
- Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a RN, which must be in good standing.
- Excellent communication skills enabling the efficient and effective delivery of adult education modules.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in long term care.
- Knowledge of appropriate systems to document provided training and required regulatory records/CEUs/clock hours.
- BLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical and teaching experience preferred.
- Belongs to a staff development or other relevant clinical network or association.
