About the role
The Staff Auditor will play an active role in supporting audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has completed their educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam and is looking to build practical experience within a collaborative, client-focused firm. Beyond technical engagement work, the Staff Auditor will help cultivate positive, trust-based relationships with client personnel and take on special assignments as they arise. Success in this role requires strong communication, sound time management, and the ability to balance multiple client priorities within a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing and completing audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Support engagement teams with fieldwork, testing, and documentation
- Take on special assignments and ad hoc projects as directed by senior team members
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with client personnel
- Communicate proactively on client matters and engagement status
- Manage time effectively across multiple engagements and deadlines
- Collaborate closely with audit team members and firm leadership
Requirements
- Completed all education requirements to sit for the CPA exam
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team

Pay
$115K to $145k
Schedule
- Hybrid in San Rafael, CA (3 days in office, 2 WFH)
- Monday through Friday, during regular business hours
- Full-time, long-term position
