Staff Attorney at AmLaw (Financial Services Litigation)

Large national AmLaw firm seeks a Staff Attorney for a busy financial services litigation team.

About the role

Ideal candidate will have experience litigating consumer financial services cases for major financial institutions, primarily involving mortgage-related disputes.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and arguing motions and pleadings in federal and state courts
• Managing cases from start to finish (including discovery, strategy development, client communication, and settlement discussions)
• Assisting in class action defense under federal and state consumer lending laws
• Conducting legal research and factual investigations
• Collaborating with a team handling large-scale litigation portfolios for national banks and financial services companies

Requirements

• Experience litigating consumer financial services cases, particularly mortgage-related disputes
• Ability to manage cases from inception through resolution

Pay

$120,000 - $140,000 per year

Schedule

Billable requirement of 1850 hours (can be less depending on salary)
