Staff Analyst, Product
About the role
You will shape the customer experience through high-quality experimental design and hypothesis testing. You will work cross-functionally with product managers, growth leads, designers, and engineers in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership and strategic partnership to your product stakeholders, influencing roadmap decisions with data-driven insights
- Own the experimentation strategy for your product team, including test design, success metrics, sample-size estimation, guardrails, and results interpretation
- Work cross-functionally to define tracking requirements and ensure data integrity; lead analytics instrumentation
- Create and maintain KPI frameworks and measurement plans for new features and initiatives
- Champion data quality, documentation, and deliverable consistency, serving as a mentor to junior analysts
- Identify causal relationships using advanced statistical modeling, quasi-experimental methods, and predictive modeling
- Segment users based on demographic, behavioral, and psychographic attributes to tailor product experiences and lifecycle communications
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to answer strategic business questions, quantify opportunities, and recommend clear actions
Requirements
You have 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field. You have a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. You have 5+ years of experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests in a product environment. You have extensive experience working with subscription-based business models and metrics. You have extensive experience working with data engineering teams and production data pipelines. You have extensive experience in data modeling and statistics; strong knowledge of experimental design + statistical inference. You have advanced experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Looker or Tableau. You have expert SQL skills. You have advanced experience with data programming in Python, SAS, or R. You have experience developing and training predictive models. You have the ability to explain technical analyses to non-technical audiences, both peers and executives. You have experience shaping and influencing product strategy; not just executing analyses. You have a strong work ethic and proactive mindset; understanding a problem in detail and owning the resolution. You have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage long-term projects from end to end.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience with price testing and modeling price elasticity and experience with telehealth concepts. Project management experience, DBT, airflow, and Databricks experience are also preferred.
