Staff Accountant Temp (US)

About the role

This position requires strong accounting expertise and effective problem-solving skills to drive accuracy and efficiency. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support daily accounting functions, financial reporting, and month-end closing activities. The successful candidate will maintain precise financial records, ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, and assist in improving internal processes within the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions for a major program(s).
• Investigate, document, and resolve account and invoice discrepancies, recommending appropriate adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve internal and external customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations for one or more business units.
• Research and process necessary stock adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end close practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable is preferred.
