About the role

Must be local to the Portland, OR area. While this position is fully remote, candidates must be located in the Portland metro area for occasional in-person meetings as the company establishes its local office presence.

Responsibilities

  • Aid with payroll setup and administration
  • Set up and maintain QuickBooks Online
  • Establish accounting procedures and financial workflows
  • Set up trial balances and accounting records
  • Process payroll and employee expenses
  • Prepare financial reports and support reporting needs
  • Aid with financial analysis and management reporting
  • Support various accounting functions as business needs evolve
  • Help develop scalable accounting processes to support company growth

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of general accounting experience
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience handling payroll and expense management
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Preferred

  • QuickBooks Online experience
  • Experience setting up accounting systems and processes
  • Startup, small business, or high-growth company experience
  • Well-rounded accounting background with the ability to adapt to changing needs
