Senior Accountant- Temp

Responsibilities

• Prepare for single audit
• Prepare SEFA and other criteria documents for audit
• Manage the month-end closing process to ensure timely financial reporting
• Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards
• Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with program managers to develop and monitor budgets
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders on financial performance
• Assist in the preparation of the annual financial audit and liaise with external auditors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, nonprofit experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent)
• Must know QuickBooks online
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse stakeholders
