Staff Accountant I

Position Summary / Objectives

The Staff Accountant I supports the finance and accounting team by performing a range of technical and operational accounting activities that ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S GAAP.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain and update the capital asset register
• Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Develop and maintain account lead schedules
• Aid with internal and external audit processes
• Investigate account discrepancies and resolve variances
• Support cost accounting activities including product costing and variance analysis
• Auxiliary in maintaining inventory controls and reconciling inventory balances
• Perform additional ad hoc accounting duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Occasionally stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and talk or hear
• Sometimes lift or move office products and supplies up to 50 pounds

Education, Experience, and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting

Salary Range

$70,000-$80,000 per year
