Responsibilities
- Obtain, renew, and update all business licenses (state, county, and city).
- Ensure copies of current licenses and tax information are properly displayed at sites if required by law.
- Renew all state annual reports.
- File all required paperwork for any new state MasterCorp is entering.
- File all personal property schedules (city and county).
- Request payment for all real estate and personal property taxes.
- Process Sales/Use Tax (monthly).
- Reconcile balances for all sales/use tax accounts.
- File sales tax returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual returns).
- Determine if a new sales/use tax number is required for a new site and obtain it if needed.
- Close the books monthly.
- Update the fixed asset system (monthly).
- Enter all new fixed assets into the fixed asset system.
- Reconcile the fixed asset system with the accounting software for month-end.
- Reconcile gain or loss on the disposal of assets per the fixed asset system to the accounting software.
- Depreciate fixed assets and integrate depreciation expense into the accounting software.
- Reconcile and maintain vehicle sales for accounting.
- Track, update, and maintain the expense report system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in an accounting role preferred, though recent graduates with strong accounting-related skills will be considered.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, faxes, and filing cabinets. The role may require additional tasks as directed by MasterCorp Management.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, reaching, occasional ascending/descending, and repetitive motions.
