Responsibilities

  • Process payroll cycles, audit payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate updates related to hires, terminations, and compensation changes
  • Review and process assigned vendor invoices and employee expense reports, verify approvals and coding, and reconcile vendor statements
  • Absorb payroll tax reporting, documentation, and compliance tracking
  • Support audit activities by compiling financial data and preparing reports
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity for assigned accounts

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a government contracting finance or accounting environment
  • Hands-on experience with payroll processing, accounts payable, and employee expense reports
  • Strong understanding of compliance, documentation, and audit readiness standards
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • High integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial data
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
  • Professional communication skills when coordinating with internal teams and vendors
  • Experience with Unanet is a strong plus, and familiarity with ADP or similar payroll systems is highly valued

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in government contracting environment
  • Demonstrated experience with payroll, accounts payable, and expense processing
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

Skills

  • Experience with Unanet
  • Experience with ADP or similar payroll platforms
  • Prior exposure to DCAA compliant accounting practices
  • Experience supporting audits or contract financial reporting
