Staff Accountant, GL Accounting

Vertafore · Denver, CO · 1 mo ago
Hybrid$58k–$80k/yrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? Actually we need to use

for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must include only sections that have real specific content. We have pay: "$58,000 - $80,000 / year". That's pay. Schedule? Not mentioned. Benefits: there is a long list of benefits under "Why Vertafore is the place for you: *Canada Only" and "*US Only". So we have benefits content. Also we have "About the role" maybe we can include a paragraph summarizing role description. The posting includes description: "This Staff Accountant reports to the GL Manager, Accounting, and is a key member of the general ledger team...". That's about the role. So we can have About the role section with that prose. Responsibilities: we have core requirements and responsibilities list. So we can have Responsibilities section with
  • items. Requirements: maybe we have Knowledge, Skills And Abilities and Qualifications. Could combine into Requirements? But we have separate headings: Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. The instruction says use those headings if content exists. We have Qualifications (Bachelor's degree, 1-3 years experience). We have Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (skills). We have maybe Requirements (Core Requirements And Responsibilities) but that's overlapping with responsibilities. Might be better to treat Core Requirements And Responsibilities as Responsibilities. Then Qualifications as Qualifications. Then Knowledge, Skills And Abilities as Skills. Also there is "Additional Requirements And Details" which includes hybrid work environment, lifting, etc. That could be part of Requirements or maybe separate but we can include as part of Requirements? But we already have Qualifications and Skills. Could add a Requirements section for those additional details (hybrid work, lifting, travel). However the instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So maybe combine those into Responsibilities or Qualifications? But they are not responsibilities nor qualifications. Could be "Additional Requirements". But we have no heading for that exactly; we could use "Requirements" heading and include those details plus maybe the qualifications? But we already have Qualifications separate. Might be okay to have Requirements (for hybrid work, lifting, travel) and Qualifications (education/experience) and Skills (knowledge, skills, abilities). That seems reasonable. Pay: we have salary range. Benefits: we have the benefits list. Schedule: not present, so omit. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID. We must remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. Remove duplicated lines, application instructions. Also remove repetitive equal opportunity statements etc. We'll need to filter. We need to preserve all substantive information. So we need to keep the pay range, benefits details, responsibilities list, qualifications, skills, additional requirements details (hybrid work, lifting, travel, vision, etc). Also keep the description about the role (the paragraph about Staff Accountant). Also keep the company description? The first paragraph about Vertafore maybe considered "About the company" but not required heading. Could be part of About the role? Might be considered company overview; but we could include it in About the role? The instruction: "Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." So we can have About the role section that includes role description and maybe company overview? But better to keep About the role as description of the role. The initial paragraph about Vertafore is more about the company; could be omitted? It's substantive but not about role. However we might keep it as part of About the role? Might be considered company overview; but we don't have a heading for About the company. Could we include it in About the role? Might be okay but could be considered not strictly role. However we need to preserve ALL substantive information; we cannot drop company overview unless it's boilerplate. It's not boilerplate; it's describing Vertafore. So we need to include it somewhere. Perhaps we can include it in About the role section as a preamble. Or we could create an "About the company" section but not in allowed headings. The instruction only gives examples; we could still use other headings? It says "Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." The e.g. suggests those are examples but we could use others if needed? However safer to stick to those. We could incorporate company overview into About the role paragraph. Thus About the role: combine company overview and role description. Now Responsibilities: list from Core Requirements And Responsibilities (the bullet list). Also maybe include "Assist with the month-end close process..." etc. That's already in the list. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, 1-3 years accounting experience with sales and use tax experience required, public accounting or corporate accounting experience is a plus. Skills: Knowledge, Skills And Abilities list. Additional Requirements And Details: hybrid work environment, occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, frequent repetitive hand/arm movements, specific vision abilities (close vision), potential travel 1-2 weeks per year, frequent sitting and/or standing. Also maybe "Is this role not an exact fit for you? Keep an eye on our Careers Page for other positions!" that's filler; drop. Also "Vertafore is a drug free workplace..." etc is boilerplate; drop. Also "The selected candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States." maybe keep? It's a requirement but could be part of Additional Requirements. It's substantive but maybe considered boilerplate? It's a legal requirement; we could keep. But the instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. This is a legal work authorization statement; might be considered boilerplate? It's a standard requirement; but it's substantive. I'd keep it maybe under Additional Requirements. Benefits: we have two lists: Canada Only and US Only. We need to preserve all substantive information. So we can combine them into a Benefits section with
    • items. Might need to separate Canada vs US but we can just list all. Pay: we have "$58,000 - $80,000 / year". We'll put in

under Pay heading. Now ensure we don't include filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. We must not include headings with empty content. Now produce HTML fragment. Structure:

      Pay

      $58,000 - $80,000 / year

Check for duplication: Some benefits appear twice (medical etc). Might be okay but we could deduplicate. However we must preserve ALL substantive information; deduplication might be considered removing duplicate lines, which is allowed: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." So we should remove duplicated lines. So we need to deduplicate benefits. Let's list unique benefits: From Canada Only: - Medical, vision & dental plans - Life, AD&D - Short Term and Long Term Disability - Pension Plan & Employer Match - Maternity, Paternity and Parental Leave - Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) - Education Assistance - Additional programs - Employee Referral and Internal Recognition From US Only: - Flexible First work environment! We'll combine: "Medical, vision & dental plans (including PPO & high‑deductible options, Health Savings
