We are hiring a Staff Accountant on-site at our Largo, FL headquarters. As our lead accounting professional, you will be the steward of our financial integrity, owning the entire accounting ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Produce hyper-accurate, timely financial statements and maintain overall general ledger integrity.
- Oversee AP and AR functions to ensure accurate job-costing, timely billing, collection management, and disciplined vendor payments. Deliver clear visibility into our cash position and cash flow trends.
- Continually evaluate and refine accounting workflows to eliminate manual bottlenecks, reduce errors, and scale internal controls as our project volume grows.
- Partner with the People & Talent Manager on seamless payroll execution, benefits administration, and employee-related financial reporting. Work alongside the Risk & Process Manager on compliance and internal audits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external CPA firms, auditors, and tax advisors, ensuring all documentation is organized and audit-ready.
- Identify financial trends, risks, and project-costing opportunities, communicating plain-language insights to leadership for confident decision-making.

- Leadership relies implicitly on your financial reports to make strategic operational decisions.
- Month-end close runs smoothly and predictably on schedule.
- Subcontractors and vendors are paid promptly, customer billing is completed accurately, and internal field teams feel supported.
- Financial controls and accounting workflows are organized, efficient, and built to handle company growth.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (B.S. in Accounting or equivalent preferred).
- Hands-on knowledge of GL management, financial statements, full-cycle close, payroll, and AP/AR.
- Experience with job costing or project-based accounting environments (telecommunications, construction, or technical services preferred).
- Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving account discrepancies.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to collaborate across departments and explain financial data clearly to non-finance team members.

Schedule
Standard 8-hour shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday).
