Staff Accountant Construction

This is more than just an accounting job — you'll be a trusted partner to operations, supporting project success through accurate financials, job costing, and strong business insight.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee the preparation and review of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing insights into financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate job costing and timely completion of projects.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of financial systems and procedures to support efficient operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a construction-related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with construction accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
