Staff Accountant - CAAS

Responsibilities

• Support multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Complete month-end and other quarterly and annual processing.
• Day to Day Transactions:
  • Coordinates & processes accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Month End Processing:
  • Completes basic financial statements.
  • Captures and completes account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals).
• Other Quarterly/Annual Processing:
  • Completes sales tax returns, Form 1099s and other forms or items as requested by clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• One to two years of experience providing accounting and financial services is preferred, exceptions can occur based on work to be performed.
• Technical knowledge of QuickBooks and other applicable software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
