Staff Accountant - CAAS

About the role

CLA is seeking a Staff Accountant for its Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice. This position is available in Denver, Colorado Springs, or Salt Lake City.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Complete month-end and other quarterly and annual processing.
• Day to Day Transactions: Coordinate & process accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Month End Processing: Complete basic financial statements. Coordinate and complete account reconciliations (bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals).
• Other Quarterly/Annual Processing: Complete sales tax returns, Form 1099s and other forms or items as requested by clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• One to two years of experience providing accounting and financial services is preferred, exceptions can occur based on work to be performed.
• Technical knowledge of QuickBooks and other applicable software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
