Staff Accountant

About the role

Windwave is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and project-based accounting activities within a growing construction and telecommunications company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Aid with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and supporting schedules.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related processes as needed.
• Aid with job costing and project-related financial tracking.
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and records.
• Support audit preparation and financial reporting activities.
• Aid with process improvements and financial accuracy initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 1–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Construction, telecommunications, or project-based accounting experience preferred.
• Exposure to job costing or WIP reporting.
